VIDYA KALE

Nervous System–Focused Yoga Therapist

Yoga • Meditation • Breathwork • Sound Healing

Vidya came to yoga through her own recovery. Body pain, IBS, lower back pain and joint pain had followed her for years. As a counsellor, she saw that therapy could reach the mind while the body kept holding the pain. Yoga became the tool that worked on both, and it is what she now teaches.

Today Vidya works with people living with stress, anxiety, poor sleep, fatigue, pain and the after-effects of illness, bringing together her training in yoga, social work and counselling.

  • YCB Level 3 – Yoga Teacher & Evaluator, Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India

TATTVA PHILOSOPHY

तत्त्व – the essential principle

Tattva means principle or essence. At Tattva the principle is simple: a body that has been under strain for a long time needs regulation before it needs more effort.

The five elements in the Tattva emblem – earth, water, fire, air and ether – are part of how Tattva thinks about balance. The work begins by helping your nervous system settle.

OUR APPROACH

Physiology + psychology + yogic wisdom

Every programme draws on three kinds of knowledge, used together, and a clear process.

Physiology

How the body holds strain: breath, muscle tension, sleep and digestion.

Psychology

How the mind feeds the body, informed by Vidya's social work and counselling training.

Yogic wisdom

Asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra and sound, applied with intent.
